Digital city
Not long ago, highly technologized cities where neighborhoods, streets, office buildings, large shopping areas, hospitals and homes having their own forms of artificial intelligence only existed in science fiction movies or books.

Innovative approaches in the field of telecommunications provide a multi-territorial status for these "digital cities" through the identification of new opportunities in communication and interraction amongst various administrative components. In fact, the most distinct characteristic of a digital city resides in its high degree of innovation.

The term "digital city" defines the integration, combination and interoperability of cutting edge technologies, thus creating an infrastructure capable of providing the support necessary for the operation of any application, regardless the location.

Two essential conditions need to be fulfilled for this mega-structure to function properly: uninterrupted energy supply and communications everywhere in the city.

The services and the technologies Flashnet offers to its clients are parts of the "digital city" concept. For more details, please see other sections on our website:
  • Smart Grid
  • inteliLIGHT®
  • Wireless Municipal
  • Smart Buildings: Through their complete control and efficency of the indoor systems, smart buildings allow the remote maintenance by programming environmental factors (humidity, light, heat, air conditioning, etc.), meter data reading, access control, elevator schedule, surveillance system operations, etc.
By offering a multitude of options and possibilities, digital cites represent a social and economic goal for municipalities around the world, by increasing the comfort and satisfaction of their citizens.

The adoption of the technological concepts that define the "digital city" can be done gradually, through a initial integration in certain areas of the city only, with low costs, then to be extended where possible. By superposing the technologies that define the "digital city", the result is an increased redundancy, security and reliability of the integrated applications. In other words, the digital city is the future of urban organization.
