About us
Flashnet was created in 2005, and one of its first objectives was the implementation of PLC (PowerLine Communications) technology on the Romanian market, followed by the development of Internet and Intranet access solutions using the low voltage electric networks as a base. After the company's foundation, a partnership with ASCOM Powerline Communications (Current Technologies Gmbh) from Switzerland was signed, through which Flashnet became one of the first network integrators in Romania using the powerline technology.

In 2006 due to the collaboration with Proxim and because of the market's demands a new development direction was initiated, based upon the training of the employees on the implementation and designing of wireless solutions, direction which opens new perspectives especially in the field of interconnectivity with mobile equipments.

In 2007, in concordance with the local decision no. 517/12.16.2007 a partnership between the local administration of Brasov city and our company is signed, thus making Brasov the first city in Romania endowed with a wireless municipal network and benefitting of the most advanced wi-fi applications in the administration of public lighting systems, measurement and control of road traffic, solutions for improving the personal and public safety, database access, etc.
